Here's what's happening this weekend in Denver

1. 🏈 Football watch parties

Football will be front and center this weekend in Colorado.

State of play: The Rocky Mountain Showdown between the Colorado State Rams and the Colorado Buffaloes kicks off at 5:30pm Saturday in Fort Collins.

• The home opener for the Denver Broncos is 2:25pm Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

• Plan a trip to watch the morning launches of hot air balloons at Snowmass Town Park , 7–9am Saturday and Sunday. Free

4. 🍺 Highlands Oktoberfest

• The event producer for events like Boulder Creek Festival and Denver Burger Battle will host this inaugural event featuring Bavarian-themed festivities shopping, contests, kids activities and live music 10am–6pm Saturday.

5. 🎵 Kacey Musgraves

• The Grammy-winning country singer will perform at Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre with Father John Misty and Nickel Creek Sunday at 7:30pm. General admission tickets start at $68.75
