    This weekend, see concerts from Luke Bryan and Missy Elliott or participate in the Chicago Triathlon.


    1. 🎸 Luke Bryan

    See country music superstar Luke Bryan at Wrigley Field this weekend.

    Why it matters: It's one of the last concerts of the summer at Wrigley, followed by Pearl Jam next weekend.

    Zoom in: Bryan is bringing Bailey Zimmerman , Tracy Lawrence and Chayce Beckham along on his "Mind of a Country Boy" tour.

    Catch up quick: The "American Idol" judge put together a seven-song EP to coincide with this tour and is releasing a new album next month.

    • Both projects are titled — what else? — "Mind of a Country Boy."

    2. 🎵 LatiNxt

    • Explore Latin American culture through performances and art 2–11:10pm Saturday and 2–8pm Sunday at Navy Pier's Beer Garden. Free

    4. 🛒 Celebrating 125 years of Jewel-Osco

    • The hometown grocery store is celebrating 125 years with festivities across the city, such as in-store giveaways and a charity beach volleyball tournament, now through Sept. 10. Free
    • "We are thrilled to celebrate our incredible journey alongside our customers, friends, beloved Jewel-Osco employees, valued sponsors, and exclusive partners with events at some of Chicago's most iconic locations," store president Mike Withers said in a statement.

    5. 🧦 Chicago White Sox

    • Root for the home team as they play the Detroit Tigers at 7:10pm Friday, 6:10pm Saturday and 1:10pm Sunday at Guaranteed Rate Field. Keep in mind the 12-by-12-by-6-inch or smaller clear bag policy. Tickets start at $11

    6. 🚴 Chicago Triathlon

    • Riders of all ages are welcome Saturday and Sunday and races can be completed individually or with a team. You can also experience "Supertri" by watching the best triathletes in the world swim in Lake Michigan, bike down Lake Shore Drive and run through Grant Park. Tickets start at $160
