The Democratic National Convention and the party's presidential candidate Kamala Harris have inspired sweet offerings around the city, many available just for this week.

    • We checked out a few.

Kamalamann from Hewn Bakery in Evanston and Libertyville ($4.50) combines the sweet flaky pastry of a traditional kouign-amann with coconut custard filling and blueberry jam.

    • This delicious and lightly sweet tribute to the Democratic presidential candidate is available through the end of the DNC, with a portion of sales going to the Protect Democracy Project, which offers education on threats to democratic norms and how to address them.
