According to the Avon Police Department, the body of missing person Vincente Roblero Perez, 39, was found floating in the Colorado River in Glenwood Canyon on June 2.

Last contact between Perez and his family took place on May 15, with his last known location being near the Eagle River by the Sunridge Condos complex.

An extensive search followed Perez' disappearance, including ground and water search efforts, as well as searching with the use of aerial resources. Not only did the search for Perez include the Eagle River, but also a lake at Harry A. Nottingham Park, which is located in central Avon. Various persons-of-interest were also identified in the case.

When it was announced that the body of Perez was found in the Colorado River near Mile Marker 126 of I-70, it was also noted that his death is still being treated as suspicious.

The investigation into his death continues and anyone with information should contact the Avon Police Department.

Perez was described as a "beloved husband, father, and friend." Condolences go out to those impacted by Perez' death.
