Two people injured in car crash in Avoca

AVOCA, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — There was a heavy police presence Wednesday night in Avoca.

According to the Avoca Police Department, first responders arrived in the 600 block of Main Street in Avoca, around 8:54 p.m. on Wednesday, for a reported car crash into a pole, in front of Lyon’s Barber Shop and Panache Hair Salon.

28/22 News crews on the scene said the vehicle that struck the pole was being towed away.

Police say there were two people moderately injured in the crash, one refused medical treatment, and the other was transported to an area medical center.

The conditions of the two people are unknown at this time.
