AUSTIN, Texas — A man was pronounced dead in Zilker Park on Monday evening near the park’s volleyball courts, Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) said.
Medics said they received a 911 call for a person who was unresponsive at 5:47 p.m. in the 2200 block of Lou Neff Road. A bystander conducted CPR before ATCEMS arrived on the scene about six minutes later.
The man was pronounced dead at 5:59 p.m.
The Austin Police Department said the case is currently under investigation and is not considered a homicide.
