The Austin-Bergstrom International Airport said several of its garages closed around 9:15 a.m. as the Austin Police Department investigated reports of ‘suspicious activity.’
APD determined there was no threat to the public. They are not actively investigating the death as a homicide.
The Blue Garage and the Red Garage both closed, as well as the adjacent administration building. All have since reopened, but AUS Airport said the northwest corner of the third floor of the Red Garage remains closed as the investigation continues.
Operations at the airport are continuing as normal.
