Friday is one of the sweetest days of the year: National Doughnut Day.

The celebration has come around every first Friday of June ever since 1938, when Chicago's Salvation Army held a fundraiser inspired by doughnut-serving World War I volunteers. This fundraiser looked to raise money for Great Depression aid.

If you're looking to celebrate National Doughnut Day in Austin, check out one of these spots:

Voodoo Doughnuts

It's hard to talk about Austin doughnuts without mentioning Voodoo, with one location on the iconic East 6th Street and a newer location at Burnet Road. In celebration of the special day, Voodoo will offer raised glazed dozens for $10.
