    Second suspect charged in downtown Augusta gunfight

    A second suspect has been charged in connection to a shooting early Saturday in downtown Augusta .

    Seven Whitfield, 23, of Hephzibah, was arrested Tuesday and is charged with one count of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon during a felony, according to the GBI.

    He was shot on the night of the incident, was taken to a local hospital and released the same day, the GBI noted in a press release.

    On Sunday, the Georgia Bureau of Investigations, who is investigating the case, announced the arrest of Amazing Lee Blessed Brigham , 19, of Hephzibah.

    Brigham was one of the three people shot during the encounter, which occurred outside of Sole restaurant on Broad Street.
