Crews battle power outages after storm sweeps through CSRA

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Crews across the CSRA have responded to recent power outages due to the weather.

Aiken County

According to Dominion Energy’s power outage map, over 277 customers were experiencing power outages around the Jackson area around 5:15 p.m. The estimated restoration time is 7 p.m.

Columbia County

In Harlem, fallen trees were blocking roadways after the storm came through, but were cleared as of 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. According to Columbia County dispatchers, crews responded to the intersection of South Louisville Street and West Milledgeville Road after the intersection lost power. It was back on as of 11:15 p.m.

According to dispatchers, there are no other areas impacted by the storm.

According to Georgia Power’s power outage map, over 350 customers were experiencing power outages around the Harlem area.

Richmond County

Hail damage to vehicles was expected, according to the Augusta Fire Department. There was damage to trees and power lines after the storm off Peach Orchard Road near Brown Road.

According to Jefferson Energy Cooperative, at least 1,326 customers are experiencing power outages in the Hephzibah area around 5:30 p.m.

According to Georgia Power’s power outage map, more than 200 customers in Richmond County were experiencing power outages due to the storm.
