Deputies are searching for a man they say was involved in a shooting in Augusta

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man they claim was involved in the May 1 shooting at Budgetel on Fifth Street.

Brian Jonathan Mann, 21, is wanted for aggravated assault, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

Mann frequents hotels on Gordon Highway and has associates in the Sibley Road area, according to the release. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone that comes in contact with Mann or has any information about his whereabouts is asked to contact sheriff's Inv. Foozan Monga or any on-call investigator with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at 706-821-1020 or 706-821-1034.

Mann is a white male, 5-foot-7, 150 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes, according to the sheriff's office. He has a circular birthmark between his eyebrows.
