Auburn is in the hunt for five-star wide receiver Cam Coleman

Cam Coleman is a six-foot-three, 180-pound five-star wide receiver from Phenix City, Alabama.

Coleman is ranked 17th nationally by 247Sports and is one of the best players in the 2024 class.

Locked On recruiting insider, Brian Smith joined the Locked On Auburn Podcast to discuss where the Tigers stand with Coleman.

Smith had this to say, " Cam Coleman is a receiver that most people will resonate with because he is from Phenix City, and they should. You and I have talked several times that they've got to do a better job of bringing in the kid who lives within an hour of campus. I mean, it's just logical. That program is really good, and he's a really unique player with his size. From talking to his seven-on-seven coach and a few of the other recruits around him, I've been given two answers. Number one, Auburn is right there in that top group. LSU is probably the one I'd watch the most. He's buddies with Colin Hurley, and Hurley is committed to the Tigers as well, but the one's in Baton Rogue, and he's a quarterback. They played together in seven-on-seven. The thing I was told about him at the end of the day, he's going to look at his visits collectively. He's taken a long view of this. Don't expect an early decision."

Coleman has interest from schools all over the country, but Auburn definitely has a shot at this incredibly talented wide receiver.

His six-foot-three frame would fit in perfectly with what Coach Hugh Freeze likes to do with his wideouts.

Hopefully, the Tigers can land Coleman, who would likely be the wide receiver one of the future.
