Auburn LB Kameron Brown announces he is transferring
May's transfer window is getting closer and teams will begin to see players go ahead and announce that they will be available in the transfer portal.
Auburn linebacker Kameron Brown announced via his Twitter account that he will enter the transfer portal as a graduate transfer. After not seeing any action during his first year at Auburn in 2019, he never cracked the rotation at linebacker despite being a top 250 player from the state of Georgia.
Brown thanked former Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn for giving him a chance and also thanked Chette Williams for helping him develop his faith. Brown will graduate from Auburn this spring with a degree and will look to play in 2023 elsewhere.
Auburn added two linebackers via the transfer portal during the first transfer window after the 2023 season with DeMario Tolan from LSU and Austin Keys from Ole Miss. The position group saw small margins for error as the battle for playing time seems to be one of the closest on the roster so far this spring.
Auburn football's annual A-Day game will be on April 8th. The transfer window is May 1st through May 15th.
