WATCH: Auburn football quarterbacks TJ Finley, Robby Ashford throw during spring practice
The Tigers' signal-callers TJ Finley, Robby Ashford and Holden Geriner worked through throwing drills in their seventh practice of the spring.
Ashford, a sophomore transfer from Oregon, completed 49.2% of his passes for 1,613 yards and seven touchdowns (seven interceptions) a season ago for the Tigers. Freeze and Montgomery are working on improving his mechanics this offseason, as his athleticism (710 rushing yards) displayed in his first season of college action may be too good to pass up on.
Finley, a fourth-year junior, has a career completion percentage of 57.0%, having completed 56.9% of his passes at Auburn for 1,258 yards and seven touchdowns (five interceptions).
He began the year as the starter for the Tigers a season ago but was injured four games into the season. Finley finished the year with a 1/4 TD/INT ratio.
