ATLANTA

On Mar. 22, Atlanta competed in the Tommy Miller Relays in Hallsville.

Rain has played havoc with many spring sports, and this was another one of those events shortened by the weather.

Varsity Boys

In the 800m run Ian Bard placed third at 2:04.35; in the 300m hurdles Sye Stroman placed fifth at 41.57; in the long jump Marquavion Owens placed fourth at 20 feet, 8 inches; in high jump Aidan Boston placed third at 6 feet, 2 inches and in pole vault Chris Swanson placed third at 12 feet even.

Varsity Girls

In the 100m dash Markavia Garner placed third at 12.91; in the 3200m run Lucy Ransom placed third at 12:37.96; in the 100m hurdles Kym Sheppard placed sixth at 16.70 and in the 300m hurdles Sheppard placed sixth at 51.77.

The 4x100m relay team of Toya Hurd, JD Larry, Makyalin King and Anne Marie Hanner placed second at 48.98 and the 4x200m relay team of Shamijala Gillam, Skylar Spencer, Hurd and Hanner placed first at 1:45.52.

JV Boys

In the 100m dash Braylin Rowe placed third at 11.42; in the 3200m run Campbell Autrey placed fourth at 11:18.68; in the 300m hurdles Marquayvious Richardson placed first at 43.28; in discus Jaylon Finley placed second at 102 feet, 4 inches and Kam Williams placed fifth at 98 feet even and in shot Williams placed second at 40 feet, 11 inches.

The 4x100m relay team of Derrick Talton, Jaden Riley, Kaleb Francisco and Richardson placed second at 44.61 and the 4x400m relay team of Talton, Riley, Richardson and Kason Byrd placed second at 3:43.89.

JV Girls

In the 200m dash Gracie McWilliams placed first at 27.31; in the 400m dash Jaliyah Gordon placed third at 1:06.70; in the 1600m run Ella Stewart placed third at 6:04.50; in shot Deajah Alejandro-Ortiz placed sixth at 26 feet, 1 inch and in discus Yr’kyya Nard placed first at 83 feet, 8 1/2 inches and Alejandro-Ortiz placed sixth at 73 feet, 4 1/2 inches.

The 4x100m relay team of Breonna Phelps, McWilliams, Gordon and Ke’ Mauri Johnson placed third at 53.38 and the 4x400m relay team of Serenity Duckett, Abby Morales, McWilliams and Gordon placed third at 4:33.87.
