Thanks to the complicated pursuit of the complicated Aaron Rodgers, the New York Jets presently have their figurative hands full.

But when it comes time for literal hands?

There might be a connection between the Jets and the iconic Atlanta Falcons receiver Julio Jones.

Rodgers, the future Hall of Famer who is working his way out of Green Bay, intends to play for the Jets ... but it's a complex move. Nevertheless, the assumption of it eventually coming true has led Rodgers to suggest to Jets management the sort of pass-catchers he'd like them to add ... His buddies, basically, which is why wide receiver Allen Lazard (who has signed with the Jets) is joined on his "wish list'' by Randall Cobb and Marcedes Lewis. (Oh, and Odell Beckham Jr., because why not!)

Given all of that - and also due to the existing wideouts on the New York roster, a group led by Garrett Wilson and Elijah Moore - we're not sure how Julio, 34 and coming off two poor NFL stints in Tennessee and Tampa - fits there.

And yet, "according to a former NFL executive that spoke to NFL Analysis Network, New York is also showing some level of interest in Julio Jones.''

From the report: “The market for Julio Jones has been slow, but one team that has toyed with the idea of signing him is the New York Jets. Other wideouts are higher on their list, but he’s an option that has been considered.”

Hmm. Julio to a receiver-needy team? Maybe. Julio in a romantic return to Atlanta? Worth considering. Julio in New York? We'll believe it as soon as de facto Jets GM Aaron Rodgers approves it.
