Kootenai County Traffic Stop Leads Deputies to Approximately 180 Fentanyl Pills

ATHOL, ID - A 39-year-old Spokane woman was arrested Sunday after a traffic stop in Kootenai County led deputies to the discovery of over 180 fentanyl pills.

During the course of the traffic stop, which occurred in the area of Highway 54 and Railroad Street in Athol, ID, deputies reportedly observed drug paraphernalia in plain view, which led to a subsequent search of the vehicle.

During the search, deputies located two packages inside of the vehicle containing approximately 181 fentanyl pills.

As a result, 38-year-old Tanya P. Myers, of Spokane, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and booked into the Kootenai County Jail.
