Former NFL Star Predicts Deion Sanders Will Leave Colorado for New Job

The Colorado Buffaloes have become a prime-time darling upon the arrival of head coach Deion Sanders.

The Buffaloes are off to a 2-1 start after wins over North Dakota State and rival Colorado State before falling to No. 22-ranked Nebraska.

In his first year on the job last season, Sanders guided the Buffaloes to a 4-8 finish, which fell short of expectations but still a marked improvement from a woeful 1-11 record the year before he arrived.

Regardless of the outcome of Sanders' second season with the Buffaloes, former NFL star and Sanders' close friend Adam "Pacman" Jones predicted the charismatic coach would leave to coach his alma mater, Florida State.

"That's home," Jones said on "The Pacman Jones Show" on September 18. "That's Seminole."

Before Sanders' NFL Hall-of-Fame career and part-time MLB career, he was a tri-sport star during his time at Florida State from 1985-88, excelling in football, baseball and track.

“He fit Florida State,” Jones said.

Jones claimed Sanders would have picked Florida State over Colorado in 2022 but the Seminoles botched their chance.

Now, Jones believes the timing is perfect with the Florida State slumping into a 0-3 start under Mike Norvell.

Another factor that Jones believes could sway Sanders to leave the Buffaloes is the expected departures of several of his key players, including his son, Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter who could enter the NFL draft after this season.
