Joel Klatt Predicts Major College Football Upset on Saturday

We're getting into the meat of the college football schedule this weekend, with conference play beginning across the nation. That means we get more intriguing matchups, and more ranked teams going head-to-head in must-watch games.

One of those games this weekend is between No. 12 Utah and No. 14 Oklahoma State, being played in Stillwater, Oklahoma. As we lead up to the game, Fox Sports college football analyst Joel Klatt is making a bold prediction for the top 25 matchup.

Klatt has the road team winning.

"I like Utah in this one," Klatt said on his podcast. "I think Utah's defense is really strong. I don't love Oklahoma State's defense, even though I like their program a lot. I think Utah wins this one by 10, 31-21."

The biggest question about the game, though, is the play of Utah quarterback Cameron Rising. The former Heisman candidate is still working back from his torn ACL suffered in the 2022 Rose Bowl game, and while he played decently in two games so far this year, it's still fair to say that he isn't 100% of what he was before the injury just yet.

"If Rising is back, I think Utah is the better team," Klatt said. "Even on the road, that's why you need an experienced quarterback."

This game is scheduled to kick off at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon, aired on Fox. The Cowboys are currently listed as 2.5-point favorites.
