Fans in Disbelief of Overhead Video of Caitlin Clark 3-pointer

There isn’t much Indiana Fever guard and WNBA Rookie of the Year front-runner Caitlin Clark does these days that doesn’t go instantly viral.

The 22-year-old rookie, who leads all players in made 3-pointers (111) and ranks first among rookies in made 3-pointers per game (3.1), added another clip to her personal highlight reel in Wednesday’s 86-75 loss to the Las Vegas Aces.

Trailing 25-18 early in the second quarter, Clark took matters into her own hands. Clark took a few steps back and assessed things before making a drive toward the 3-point line. Her last-second step back got Aces guard Chelsea Gray to hesitate just enough that Clark was able to create enough space to get off an impressive 3-point shot that pulled the Fever to within four.

As if the play wasn’t impressive enough, the Fever’s official X account tweeted an overhead view of the shot that had fans buzzing on social media.

“Looks even better from that angle. Caitlin 3’s never get old,” one fan responded .

“Nothing but net! Caitlin Clark’s threes are on another level,” quipped another fan .

“Caitlin Clark’s three-pointer from the heavens—an absolute celestial gem,” a third user wrote .

“Squares up and super fast release. Very hard to defend. Like Curry,” another user exclaimed .

It was Clark’s only made 3 of the night as she finished the game with 16 points, six assists and three rebounds on 1-of-11 shooting from beyond the arc.

It was only the third time since the Olympic break Clark didn’t reach the 20-point plateau and the third time she had fewer than eight rebounds over that same span.
