Shailene Woodley's Comment on Ex-Fiancé Aaron Rodgers Turns Heads Before MNF

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who suffered a season-ending injury four snaps into his debut with the New York Jets last year, makes his highly-anticipated return against the San Francisco 49ers in yet another primetime Monday Night Football matchup September 9.

Rodgers tore his left Achilles at MetLife Stadium while playing against the Buffalo Bills during the league's MNF premiere in 2023. At age 40, he's the oldest NFL player to return from an Achilles tear, but the four-time MVP is ready to prove age is just a number.

Before kickoff against the 49ers at Levi's Stadium, Rodgers' ex-fiancée, Shailene Woodley, 32, shared a candid comment on the former famous couple's breakup which immediately drew attention.

The Emmy-nominated actress admitted she was left "broken-hearted" following their split in an interview with Bustle published on Monday. The topic arose while she discussed her latest series, "Three Women," which filmed right after things fell apart with Rodgers in early 2022.

While Woodley has shifted her approach to relationships, she has not given up on finding love and starting a family one day.

“I give all of myself,” Woodley said. “I used to be a person who, if you crossed me and disrespected that, would continue to give and give. And now you cross me, I respectfully go, ‘Thank you so much for that information. Have a beautiful life. I wish you well.’ Not interested.”

As for Rodgers, he reflected on their split in a heartfelt Instagram post in February 2022.

Rodgers wrote to Woodley, "Thanks for letting me chase after you the first couple months after we met, and finally letting me catch up to you and be a part of your life. Thanks for always having my back, for the incredible kindness you show me and everyone you meet, and for showing me what unconditional love looks like, I love you and am grateful for you.”
