Kevin Durant's Multi-Million Dollar Purchase After Olympics Is Turning Heads

Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant did more than just play basketball during his time in Paris. As expected, the former NBA MVP played a pivotal role in Team USA's gold medal conquest, which they clinched on Saturday via a 98-87 victory against home team France.
In six games played in the Summer Games, the two-time NBA champ put up averages of 13.8 points on 54% shooting, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.3 assists.
Durant, however, appears to have worked on some business on the side as he helped lead Team USA to a record 17th Olympic gold medal in the 5x5 men's basketball tournament. Apparently, the 14-time All-Star also locked up a deal to become a minority shareholder of French soccer club Paris Saint-Germain.
PSG announced on Monday that Durant has now become a part owner of the defending Ligue 1 champions. According to Julien Laurens of ESPN, Durant has " invested a few millions dollars of his own money to join the club." The exact amount of the purchase, though, has not been revealed.
As expected, this major announcement took social media by storm as the fans reacted to Durant's post-Olympic multi-million dollar acquisition.
"Someone put the moves on KD while he was in Paris," read a comment.
"KD was making MONEY moves in Paris! đź‘€," said a fan.
"Won’t be the first team he owned in Paris 👀," jabbed a supporter.
"Damn nba pays well," said another.
"Kevin Durant's venture into football ownership is a bold step, blending his NBA legacy with global sports influence. 🏀⚽," surmised a supporter.
"that's a beautiful business venture and it's a great investment. congratulations to kd. he's the second basketball who got investments in sport. it was lebron and now it's him," read another comment.
According to ESPN, Durant made this massive purchase via Arctos Sports Partners, which is the same U.S.-based investment fund that also bought a 12.5% stake in PSG last year.
As for Durant, the 35-year-old is now entering his second full season with the Phoenix Suns. Alongside the likes of Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, KD and the rest of the Suns will be looking to make amends for last season's disappointing first-round playoff exit.
