One of New Jersey’s top high school programs added some Rutgers football experience this week. Former Scarlet Knights’ Quanzell Lambert and Myles Nash have joined the coaching staff of Winslow Township High School (Atco, N.J.).
Considered one of the top rising coaches in the region, Belton is a former four-star recruit and running back at Penn State. In Lambert and Nash, he is adding more Big Ten experience to his staff.
Nash, who played defensive end and tight end at Rutgers, joins to become the program’s defensive coordinator. As for Lambert, a former four-star recruit, he will be Winslow’s new linebackers coach.
“Quanzell and Myles are two people that I have a lot of respect for,” Belton told Rutgers Wire this week.
“They will be great coaches for this program, they’ve accomplished a lot on the field. Ultimately, these are guys that our kids can look up to and want to be like. I’m extremely excited to begin working with these two.”
Nash comes to Winslow having spent the previous couple of seasons as a defensive line assistant at Rutgers. Nash is an enthusiastic and energetic coach with some significant upside and potential.
“Just being able to get our guys prepared for anything. He can draw from so many experiences,” Belton said.
“(There’s) nothing he hasn’t seen at that level. This will be the first time our guys on the defensive line will have someone that can teach the details that will improve their overall game.”
Last season, Winslow finished the season 6-4. This week, they added Jaylan Hornsby, a transfer from Camden High School (Camden, N.J.).
Hornsby is a four-star wide receiver and one of the top players in New Jersey’s 2024 class. He will be taking an official visit in June to Rutgers.
