Ashville 16-year-old now missing 1 week: ‘George’s family wants to know he is safe’

UPDATE: Authorities said George Glazner was found safe.

EARLIER: The search continues for a St. Clair County teen who has now been missing for one week.

George Lafayette Glazner III, 16, was last seen about 11:30 p.m. Saturday, May 20. He left his home on Shore Drive and was believed to be riding a bicycle, according to Ashville police.

George is 5-feet, eight-inches tall and weighs 110 pounds. He has blue eyes and brown hair.

“We continue to pursue any and all leads,’’ said Ashville police Chief Ed Hampton. “George’s family wants to know he is safe and OK, which is what we all want.”
