Local Ashton Resident Involved in Highway 60 Accident Near Sheldon
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reported a motor vehicle accident on November 26 on Highway 60, south of Sheldon, IA. The accident involved Ryan Butler, 33, from Glenwood, IA, driving a 2013 Freightliner semi-tractor, and Hunter Jensen, 21, from Ashton, IA, driving a 2002 Ford Explorer.
Two men injured in collision in Sheldon
SHELDON—Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision about 2:50 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, on the east edge of Sheldon. Seventy-nine-year-old Roger Dale Rosenboom of Hartley pulled out from a stop on Crossroads Drive onto Highway 18 and his northbound 2021 Chevrolet Colorado pickup was struck by an eastbound 2005 Dodge Dakota pickup driven by 86-year-old James Allen De Jong of Sheldon, according to the Sheldon Police Department.
Local Teen Involved in Single-Car Accident Near Hull on November 28
On Tuesday, November 28, at 2:18 p.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred on 300th Street, two miles northwest of Hull, IA. Brooke Plueger, age 14, of Hull, was driving a 1991 Chevrolet Lumina westbound on 300th Street when she lost control of the vehicle, entered a field and rolled. No injuries were reported. The Chevrolet sustained approximately $2,500 in damage. Plueger was cited for failure to maintain controlof a motor vehicle.Visit here for more details.
Sioux Center Man Faces Felony Charge After Allegedly Possessing Cocaine In Jail Facility
Orange City, Iowa — A Sioux Center man has been arrested on felony contraband charges after he was found with cocaine while he was being booked into jail. According to a criminal complaint filed with the Sioux County Clerk of Court’s Office by the Sioux Center Police Department, 20-year-old Marlon Pelico Ramos of Sioux Center is accused of the possession of contraband.
