    Two men arrested in Asheville on drug charges

    ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) – Asheville police officers arrested two men on drug charges early Monday morning.

    According to Asheville Police Department, officers responded to a call at 1:12 a.m. for reports of gunshots.

    When officers arrived, they found no suspects in the area. However, officers said they did find five shell casings. Deputies said there was property damage, but nobody was injured on the scene.

    While on scene, deputies said they spotted Dillon Dustin Hart, 33, who was wanted for larceny. After a short chase on foot, they were able to take Hart into custody. While arresting Hart, police said they found drugs in his possession.

    Soon after, officers spotted Chance Taylor Williams, 29, who they said was in possession of a large number of drugs. During Williams’ arrest, officers found 28.5 grams of methamphetamine and .92 grams of fentanyl.

    Officers said Hart has been charged with drug possession, along with previous warrants for shoplifting. He has been booked into the Buncombe County Jail under a $5,500 bond.

    Deputies booked Williams into the Buncombe County Jail as well for possession of drugs and trafficking drugs under a $25,000 bond.
