High Country Association of Realtors hosts fair housing course

High Country Association of Realtors, representing Watauga, Alleghany, Avery and Ashe counties, recently hosted the National Association of Realtors Certified Instructor Robert Morris. April is Fair Housing Month for Realtors across the country and HCAR offered its members the NAR course “Bias Override: Overcoming the Barriers of Fair Housing.” Pictured in the photo are Emily Bish, president of HCAR; Morris, instructor; and HCAR member John McPherson, former regional vice-president who is also currently running for North Carolina Realtors state president. HCAR has a Fair Housing committee working throughout the year under the leadership of Chair Tony Floyd.
