County Residents Interested in Residential Solar Can Take Advantage of Solarize Virginia Program
Provided by Prince William County Communications Office. For the second year in a row, homeowners in Prince William County interested in solar energy can take advantage of the Solarize Virginia Program, which helps make the transition to solar easier and more affordable. By registering for the program, homeowners can receive a free solar satellite assessment to ensure eligibility, discounted solar system pricing, access to vetted installers and ongoing support and education. It can also save homeowners money in the long run since the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) increased the tax credit for solar energy improvements from 22 percent to 30 percent in 2023.
