Sweetgreen signs go up at first Loudoun County location

Fans of Sweetgreen, the fast-casual customized salad purveyor, will be happy to hear that the first location in Loudoun County is one step closer to fruition. The signs were installed this morning over the storefront at One Loudoun in Ashburn.

Construction has been underway for several months now at the 2,500 s.f. space on Exchange Street in the center. The spot is across the street from the new Sephora cosmetics store and kitty-corner from The Yard Milkshake Bar.

The Burn first broke the news about Sweetgreen venturing into Loudoun last summer. It’s part of a spate of new businesses coming to the same retail block, including the recently opened Sephora, as well as a Lululemon store and a Warby Parker store.

The Sweetgreen brand was launched in Washington DC back in 2006 and today, has more than 150 locations across the country.

We’ve been in contact with the folks at Sweetgreen HQ, but we’re still waiting on an update as to when the One Loudoun store will open. However, based on the progress of construction and now the sign installation, it should be relatively soon.
