Sprouts plans for Wall supermarket fall apart, but first Monmouth store sets opening date
WALL - A developer has pulled plans to build a Sprouts Farmers Market grocery store on the site of the former Lanes at Sea Girt property on Route 35. Gottesman Real Estate Partners, which also owns Sea Girt Square shopping center next door, wanted to construct a 23,375-square-foot supermarket as well as 3,500 square feet of additional retail space, according to the development application.

Ocean Grove Sunday morning beach access fight might not be solved in time for summer
OCEAN GROVE - A hearing has been postponed on whether the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association can be forced to allow access to the beach from its boardwalk on Sunday mornings, raising the prospect that the matter, along with the accompanying public protests, will not be settled by the time the new summer season starts Memorial Day weekend.
Old Wall Historical welcomes crowd to jewelry sale
WALL TOWNSHIP — Old Wall Historical Society, one of Wall Township’s archival organizations, held a costume jewelry sale this past Sunday, an event that supports the society’s efforts in preserving its buildings on site. On display in the society’s Victorian-era schoolhouse – which is part of a three-building site on New Bedford Road – were bright and shiny pieces of bijouterie and clothing for patrons to purchase, all donated by locals.
