With less than two months to go until election day, Donald Trump will hold a rally in Tucson Thursday.

That visit comes as multiple polls show Trump and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris neck-and-neck in Arizona, with Trump showing a slight lead.

The event will take place at the Tucson Music Hall at 260 S. Church Ave. It starts at 2 p.m., but doors open at 11 a.m. To attend, register at the campaign website for up to two tickets.

Former President Trump’s appearance will be one of two dueling political events on Thursday. Doug Emhoff, the husband of presidential candidate Harris, will host an event in downtown Tucson on Thursday to warn of the dangers of a second Trump presidency.

Emhoff’s appearance will be his first visit to Tucson as part of this election cycle and is part of the campaign’s “New Way Forward” tour to mobilize support and reach out to voters in battleground states.

Polling of the campaign shows Trump with a slight lead in Arizona. A survey by CNN conducted from Aug. 23 to Aug. 29 found a 5-point lead for Trump among likely voters in Arizona. By contrast, several polls conducted in early September by TIPP Insights for conservative website American Greatness showed Harris and Trump winning an even count: 47% and 47%, or 46% and 46%.

The Trump campaign strategy in Arizona and other battleground states is now to target infrequent voters, Reuters reported Monday. In Arizona, the article quoted a spokesperson for pro-Trump group Turning Point Action as estimating there are 300,000 “low-propensity, conservative-leaning votes in Arizona alone.”
