An Oro Valley man is facing serious time after being slapped with federal charges for allegedly taking a potshot at a Border Patrol agent. The U.S. Attorney's Office in Arizona said Erik Alberto Beal, 26, was hit with a two-count indictment for assaulting a federal officer with a firearm and for brandishing that weapon during the heat of a violent crime.

Oro Valley man indicted for assaulting Border Patrol agent with weapon
TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - A man from Oro Valley has been indicted for assaulting a Border Patrol agent on duty last month in Nogales. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office District of Arizona, 26-year-old Erik Alberto Beal was indicted by a federal grand jury in Tucson on May 1 with the following charges: Two counts of assault of a federal officer with a dangerous weapon, that is, a firearm, and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.
