APPLETON - A late round of storms are expected in the Appleton area Monday, starting at around 9 p.m., and wrapping up anytime between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. Tuesday, according to National Weather Service Green Bay.

NWS meteorologist Tim Uhlman explained that if the warm front sits a little bit further south, the worst of the storm will pass south of Appleton.

The main concern, according to Uhlman, will be the wind. Winds up to 75 mph are expected, as is the possibility of hail.

The weather service expects at least a half an inch to an inch of rain tonight, adding to the 2 inches which fell over the weekend.
