2 Oshkosh women have reported an intruder in their homes this month. Police are investigating.
OSHKOSH — Police are investigating a pair of reports of a man entering homes in Oshkosh. The first incident happened around 7:28 a.m. April 1 when a woman called to report a man had entered her residence in the 800 block of Vine Avenue. The woman stated the man was standing in the doorway to her bedroom, according to a news release from the Oshkosh Police Department. When she yelled at the man, he fled the scene. He is described as being about 6-foot-2 with a skinny build. He was wearing a slim-fitting black jacket, dark pants and a white mask.

Milwaukee man sentenced to 23 years in prison for his role in 2021 Kaukauna homicide
APPLETON – A Milwaukee man will spend the next two decades in prison for the 2021 homicide of a Kaukauna man, an Outagamie County judge decided Monday. Dontae Payne, 29, pleaded no contest in November to one count of second-degree intentional homicide as party to a crime, for the murder of Brian Porsche, 37. A second charge of armed robbery as party to a crime was dismissed as part of a plea deal.

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of School Safety (OSS) today is holding a Behavioral and Threat Assessment Management (BTAM) training in Appleton, Wis. ahead of the 25-year anniversary of the shooting at Columbine High School in Columbine, Col. that occurred on April 20, 1999. BTAM trainings are designed to provide school administrators, school mental health professionals, security personnel, community partners, and law enforcement with an understanding of why threat assessment is an important part of violence prevention in schools.
