Texas AG Ken Paxton's moves to have El Paso's Annunciation House closed temporarily
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is taking another legal shot at El Paso nonprofit Annunciation House. Last week, Paxton filed a motion for an injunction against the Catholic nonprofit alleging that his office has "sworn testimony indicating that Annunciation House's operations are designed to facilitate illegal border crossings and to conceal illegally present aliens from law enforcement," according to a news release from the attorney general's office.

Lockdown lifted at Austin High School in Central El Paso after threat
Update: El Paso ISD sent out the following statement:. "Normal operations have resumed at Austin High School after a Lockdown protocol was enacted Wednesday morning. The Lockdown was initiated out of an abundance of caution while local law enforcement investigated an anonymous threat against the campus. El Paso ISD Police Services maintained contact with local law enforcement and first response agencies throughout the incident, which has since concluded.
