Martin already had his feet wet in the role; he was deputy CIO and then served as acting CIO since mid-March. He stepped up when former IT Director Rick Napolitano resigned following an eight-year tenure with the county.
Martin has been with the county since 2005 and previously worked with the states of Maryland and Georgia.
“I look forward to continuing to serve the county in this new role as CIO,” Martin said in a press release. “Accessible information technology is essential for streamlining work processes and supporting the administration’s commitment to making county government more efficient, more effective and more connected to those it serves.”
