Shooting in Annapolis leaves one man critically injured Friday

A shooting investigation is underway in Annapolis.

On June 2 around 11:17pm officers were called to Frederick Douglass and Medgar Evers Streets for a report of shots fired.

Arriving officers were notified the victim had already been taken to the hospital by friends.

Police then tracked down the 27-year-old Tayshon Deshields, who was being treated for a gunshot wound to the chest.

He is said to be in critical but stable condition.

Police say two homes in the area were also struck by gunfire, but it's unclear if that's related to the shooting.

Two more calls for shots fired were made back to back days, on June 4 and 5, around Frederick Douglass and President Streets.

So far no victims or suspects have been located in those two cases, although in the June 4 incident someone was seen on camera firing one shot in the air.
