Muncie M.A.T.H Bowl students win state championship
MUNCIE, Ind. — Many hours of practice paid off for a group of West View Elementary students who are Indiana’s 2024 M.A.T.H. Bowl state champions. According to a news release, eleven West View fourth and fifth graders beat out 117 other schools from around the state to claim the title in the Red Class, which includes all schools with up to 162 students combined in fourth and fifth grades.
‘The program is still alive:’ Wapahani baseball defeats Alexandria on Raiders’ special night
In the last 20 years, Wapahani baseball has reached the state championship three times. Two of those teams were during the 2004 and 2014 seasons. The Raiders were the state runner-up in 2004 and the champions in 2014. Members of those squads found themselves on the same field as they were recognized before Friday’s contest with Alexandria-Monroe.
