Saturday was the 7th annual Shasta Renaissance and Fantasy Fair held at the Shasta County Fairgrounds in Anderson.
Event organizer Allison Baldwin spoke to KRCR about how she thinks this is the busiest year yet; “This year, from what I see right now, is going to blow all the other years out of the water.”
“We probably have about 400 actors, vendors, performers, volunteers, guilds, here to bring this fair and put it together,” Baldwin told KRCR.
They welcomed hundreds of people from all over to come and enjoy a day full of performances, battles, and more. “We have a juggler, we have jesters, we have knights and shining armor doing battle demos, we have singing groups, we have belly dancers.” Baldwin continued, “We have so much, it's going to be a packed day when you come out.”
KRCR spoke with two people attending this year's Renaissance and Fantasy Fair for the first time. “I just love seeing people's costumes and getting to act with everybody and everybody here is super into it and so it's nice to kind of riff off of each other and have fun !”
From 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. many people attended the 7th annual Renaissance and Fantasy Fair.
“We love Shasta County,” said Baldwin. “The people here love coming up here and putting on this event for everyone... Come out and have a good time !”
