ALUM CREEK, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One man was struck by a sedan while attempting to get livestock out of the roadway.
According to a press release, on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, around 8:00 a.m., Kanawha County Sheriff’s Deputy S.B. Savilla Ill, was dispatched to investigate a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the 2400 block of Brook Road in Alum Creek.
Deputies learned that a 71-year-old male from Alum Creek was struck by a sedan while he was in the roadway. Deputies believe the man was trying to get livestock out of the roadway when he was hit.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, provided aid to the male, and called 911. The male suffered minor lacerations to the head and arm. He was, however, transported to CAMC General Hospital for further evaluation.
The driver in this incident is not facing any charges currently.
