CD East track and field edged by Altoona, Mifflin County in Tuesday tri-meet

In a closely contested tri-meet, CD East had a solid showing but came out just behind a pair of District 6 schools.

On the boys’ side, the Panthers fell to Altoona 78-71, and topped Mifflin County 77-64. As for the girls, Mifflin County just edged East 69-67 while Altoona topped them 91-54.

Altoona’s boys topped the Huskies 99-49, and its girls beat MC 99-50.

Some notable performers included CD East’s Maddie Livingston, who ran a 12.5 100-meter dash to take the top mark, while Rodger Nguyen won both the 100-meter dash on the boys side and the triple jump.

Josiah Sechler also had a great showing in the javelin with a 170-9.
