    10 Lehigh Valley establishments accused of liquor law violations

    The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement is alleging 10 Lehigh Valley establishments violated liquor laws over the past two months.

    Licensees will have a chance to defend themselves against the citations before an administrative law judge, who may impose fines between $50 to $1,000 for minor violations, or up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. The judge may also suspend or revoke business licenses or mandate training.

    Nine businesses were cited in July and one was cited in June. The following businesses were cited:

    Lehigh County

    Italiano Delite, Macungie: Allegedly failed to notify board within 15 days of a change of manager.

    2nd Street Tavern, Coplay: Allegedly possessed or operated gambling devices or paraphernalia, or permitted gambling or lottery on the premise in violation of liquor code or crimes code; allegedly used a loudspeaker or similar device outside of licensed location between February and April and allegedly sold alcohol to an intoxicated customer.

    Mar & Tierra, Allentown: Allegedly failed to have board-approved manager complete necessary training within 180 days of board’s approval.

    Patoza Club, Allentown: Allegedly did not have required information on sales invoices on certain days in between August  2023 and July; allegedly failed to maintain complete records of operation starting in June 2022; and allegedly delivered alcoholic beverages in a vehicle not properly lettered.

    New Jordan Lanes, Whitehall: Allegedly ran or had gambling devices between July 2023 and May that were against the liquor or crimes code.

    Volpes Sports Bar, Emmaus: Allegedly ran or had gambling devices, paraphernalia or permitted gambling or lotteries on premise between February and May that were against crime or liquor codes.

    Days Inn and Suites, Allentown: Allegedly sold or furnished alcohol off premises on two days in May and one day in June; allegedly failed to have board-approved manager take necessary training within the past two years; allegedly sold alcohol between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. on May 4; and allegedly failed to have employees take necessary training between November 2021 and June 2024.

    SWM Lounge & Restaurant, Allentown: Allegedly transported alcoholic beverages without a license on Sept. 15, Dec. 1 and May 16. This establishment was cited in June.

    Northampton County

    Concordia Maennerchor, Easton: Allegedly failed to adhere to  board constitution or by-laws between May 2023 and May 2024; allegedly failed to fulfill charter purposed between January 2023 and January 2024; allegedly failed to operate conforming with the Bingo law on dates in August, September, October, November and December; allegedly failed to maintain records by the liquor code between January 2023 and May; and allegedly failed to operate small games of chance following the Small Games of Chance Act.

    Ruby Tuesday, Bethlehem: Allegedly failed to have board-approved manager take the necessary training between June and July.
