Carrick restaurant hit with 12 health code violations, including sewage back-up
A restaurant in the city's Carrick neighborhood is facing 12 health code violations, including a sewage back-up in its basement.The Allegheny County Health Department wrote in a food safety assessment report for Mo's at 1635 Nobles Lane that the restaurant had violated multiple codes. The agency reported "fecal matter and toilet paper pulp on the basement floor" that employees had to step over to get to soft drinks. Mo's was also given a high-risk violation for a lack of sanitizer to clean surfaces that touch food. The health department reported no probe thermometer at the restaurant as well as two dead mice found in the basement.
