President Biden commemorated Slavery Remembrance Day on Saturday, saying in a statement that “great nations don’t hide from their history.”

“Today is a day to reflect on the terrible toll of slavery, and on our nation’s profound ability to heal and emerge stronger. Despite the horrors they faced, these men and women and their descendants have made countless contributions to the building of this nation and the continuous effort to realize the American ideal,” Biden said.

Great Nations Don’t Hide From Their History… That coming from a President and I say that very lightly…. Considering his administration has done nothing but do away with history… On his watch Statues have been removed due to the HISTORY OFFENDING SOME GROUP… In place of those statues we now have criminals being honored… We’ve had books, cartoons, and movies removed from the public because some group once again is offended… On his watch they don’t teach our children in school about history anymore… they want teach our children about LBGT, Transgender, Same sex marriages…. So for this man to say we’re nation not hiding our history… WHAT A CROCK…Just another lie….--- Carol Ensley
