2 Alexandria men arrested in fatal Pisciotta Street shooting, one in North Carolina

Two men wanted in a fatal Easter Sunday shooting in Alexandria have been arrested, including one who was found in North Carolina, according to police.

The shooting in the 4100 block of Pisciotta Street killed Jesse Tatum III , 49, of Alexandria.

Shaheem Malik White, 21, was booked into the Gaston County Jail on April 14, according to a news release from the Alexandria Police Department.

He will be extradited to Alexandria at a later date on the second-degree murder warrant, along with others for being a felon in possession of a firearm and illegal use of a weapon, reads the release.

The second man sought, 29-year-old Jarvis Dontay White of Alexandria, turned himself in on April 16, according to a separate news release. He was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center #1 on charges of second-degree murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

White also was booked on a probation violation. Bail was set at $1.1 million, but he's being held because of the probation violation charge, according to online jail records.
