Impact Day: Rain and snow continue for parts of New Mexico
RIGHT OVER THE ERIC GREEN. THE TIME IT ALL OUT FOR YOU. YEAH. AND THEY’RE LIKELY IN SOME LIGHT RAIN FALLING OUT OF THOSE CLOUDS THAT ARE ALMOST DOWN ON THE GROUND IN ALBUQUERQUE’S EAST SIDE THIS MORNING. THERE’S BEEN A FILLING IN HERE ON THE RADAR IN THE LAST 60 MINUTES. SOME LIGHT RAIN ON ALBUQUERQUE’S EAST SIDE, SOME SNOWS ON THE SANDY IS IN THE MONTANO’S. LOOK AT THE SNOW OUT WEST, ROMLEY, THE GOOD OL PUEBLO AND TOWARDS THE GRANTS AREA. WE EXPECT JUST A GENERAL FEELING IN HERE OVER THE METRO OF THESE SCATTERED RAIN SHOWERS IN THE NEXT 60 MINUTES. SO RIGHT NOW OVER DOWNTOWN, WE’RE PROBABLY DRY. NOT MUCH LONGER, THOUGH. MORNING RAIN IS EXPECTED AND LIKELY THERE IS A CHANCE THAT SHOWERS THIS AFTERNOON. AFTER LUNCHTIME. SHOULD TREND A LITTLE BIT WARMER, EVEN WITH THE ACTIVE SKIES AROUND. STILL GOING TO BE BELOW AVERAGE, THOUGH, FOR THIS FIRST FULL DAY OF SPRING. BEN SNOWING AROUND GALLUP IN GRANTS AND THE SNOW THROUGH THE HIGH TERRAIN BETWEEN GALLUP AND GRANT IS LIKELY TRYING TO STICK. SO EXPECT SOME SLICK ROADS WEST ON I-40, WEST OF ALBUQUERQUE. WE’VE GOT THE SHOWER CHANCES. WELL, THIS MORNING AND MID-DAY AFTER LUNCHTIME, YOU CAN SEE THE AREAS MOST FAVORED WILL BE NORTH AND WEST OF ALBUQUERQUE. BOTH RAIN AND MOUNTAIN SNOW OUT THERE LATER ON TODAY FOR THE WEST AND NORTH WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR THESE MORNING SHOWERS. WE’RE WATCHING TEMPERATURES CLOSELY. IT’S 33 IN BOTH GALLUP AND GRANT’S 34 AND SANTA FE. WE’VE GOT SOME SPOTS VERY CLOSE TO FREEZING, BUT I DON’T THINK WE DROP OFF A WHOLE LOT MORE THIS HIGH TERRAIN HERE, THOUGH, ON THE INTERSTATE BETWEEN GALLUP AND GRANTS. THAT BLUE SHADED AREA IS WHERE TEMPERATURES ON THE PAYMENTS ARE BELOW FREEZING. AND SO THAT’S WHERE WE DO EXPECT THE SNOW TO STICK IN THE ROADS TO BE SLICK. PRETTY GOOD SHOWER CHANCES IN PLAY THROUGH ABOUT THE 11:00 HOUR AND THEN IT’S JUST A CHANCE AT SCATTERED SHOWERS LATER ON THIS AFTERNOON. AND NOTE BY MIDDAY WE SHOULD JUMP TO ABOUT 50 DEGREES AND WE’LL SPEND SOME TIME IN THE MIDDLE AND UPPER FIFTIES THIS AFTERNOON. ONLY HIT 49 YESTERDAY. SO TEMPERATURES MODERATING JUST SLIGHTLY. AND AGAI
