KOAT ACTION 7 NEWS. JULIAN, THANK YOU. APD ALSO INVESTIGATING TWO OVERNIGHT HOMICIDES. THE FIRST HAPPENED IN THE SOUTHEAST AND THE 300 BLOCK OF TORONTO PLACE, WHICH IS NEAR CENTRAL AND TRAMWAY. OFFICERS CALLED AROUND MIDNIGHT TO A SHOOTING AND FOUND ONE PERSON DEAD. THEN 5 HOURS LATER, OFFICERS CALLED IT TO ANOTHER SHOOTING NEAR FIRST STREET AND INDIAN SCHOOL ROAD. WHEN THEY GOT THERE, APD SAYS THEY FOUND ONE PERSON SHOT TO DEATH. THE HOMICIDE UNIT ALSO INVESTIGATING THIS. AND THE FOURTH HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION, THIS WEEKEND HAPPENING SATURDAY MORNING IN THE 2500 BLOCK OF SILVER STREET SOUTHEAST THAT IS NEAR CENTRAL AND GERRARD AFTER ALBUQUERQUE FIRE RESCUE PUT OUT THE FLAMES AND A FIRE AT A DUPLEX THERE. Albuquerque Police are investigating two fatal shootings that took place overnight.The first incident occurred on the 300 block of Dorado Place SE. An APD spokesperson says officers arrived at that location and found a shooting victim. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.Then around 5 a.m. Sunday, police received calls about a shooting that took place 1st St. NE and Indian School Rd. NE. Officers would find a victim that had suffered at least one gunshot wound. That victim was also pronounced dead at the scene.KOAT will provide updates on both incidents, as details become available.
