UPDATE March 21, 8:26 A.M.: Oregon State Police responded to a single vehicle crash on Interstate 5, near milepost 210, in Linn County. The preliminary investigation indicated a 2022 Freightliner (CMV) and trailer, operated by Branden Hamilton ,50, of Buffalo, NY, went off the roadway and impacted the guardrail and bridge cement barrier on Interstate-5 southbound. Hamilton was pronounced deceased at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.

The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) says Southbound I-5 at mile point 210, between Albany and Eugene, may be closed for the next several hours due to a crash.
ODOT asks those travelling in the area to plan an alternate route. Those in the area are asked to watch out for emergency responders.
State Police on scene confirmed with our station reporter that they are blocking and diverting southbound I-5 traffic at the Brownsville exit, diverting the traffic onto 99W through Halsey.
Officials also confirmed that the area will be shut down for at least three to four hours due to the crash.
ODOT also says another crash happened on I-5 at Mile Point 184, just north of Creswell. ODOT says drivers should expect delays.
Drivers are asked to remember to move over to another lane and slow down for emergency responders.
