Two arrested on drug charges after Albany traffic stop

ALBANY, NY (WRGB) - A traffic stop in the city of Albany has led to the arrests of two suspects from Catskill on drug charges.

The Albany County Sheriff says his deputies pulled over the vehicle on Thursday, March 30th, at about 3:45 p.m., in the area of Washington Avenue and Lark Street for an alleged traffic violation.
The Sheriff says the driver of the car, a 22-year-old, was operating with a revoked license. His passengers were 29-year-old Wayne Vandiver and 36-year-old Ashley Steenburn. Vandiver is accused of possessing crack cocaine. Steenburn is accused of possessing fentanyl.
Steenburn is facing three charges, two of them felonies. Vandiver is facing a misdemeanor. Both have been released on appearance tickets.
