Healthcare workers by the bus load arrived at the Albany Capitol with a message for Governor Kathy Hochul: “no healthcare workers in poverty”.
These marchers are looking for an open dialogue to address what they say is an understaffed and underpaid workforce that’s been reeling since the pandemic.
Thousands of healthcare workers have already marched around the state Capitol Building and made their way to MVP arena. There speeches will be made by the union president and legislative leaders.
The Governor's office released a comment, stating, "Governor Hochul's Executive Budget makes transformative investments to make New York more affordable, more livable and safer, and she looks forward to working with the legislature on a final budget that meets the needs of all New Yorkers.”
